Meet the Team!

Our dedicated team are committed to raising funds all year round. Their tireless efforts contribute towards various local youth groups, and of course funding the increasingly expensive annual summer carnival and our hugely succesfull Christmas Fun Day!

President: Freda Hughes

Freda is the "Magic" behind the Littlehampton Carnival and   her extensive knowledge and ability to get hold of anything - from a generator to a job lot of green noses is incredible!   Freda is the heart of the Carnival and a warm, caring welcome awaits everyone!  

Chairman: Marie Lawrence

Marie really is the true "Littlehampton Pearly Queen" and her legendary rhymes will brighten up anyones day and is   always ready for anything - from Freezing cold car boot sales to Even colder sponsored walks (normally found dressed as an Easter bunny!)

Vice Chairman, Graphic Co-Ordinator & First Aider: Sarah Abbiss

Sarah's talents range from designing our Carnival Programmes, Designing the Floats and can make anything out of cardboard - even a Christmas mantle piece with a fire! (Usually heard shouting " Where's the Staple gun/Scissors/Sellotape?!")

Treasurer & Costume Design: Lynn Martin

Lynn is our dress makers wizard and can knock up any outfit from glitzy Carnival dresses to Peter Pan   outfits! Once known to have dressed up as a Scare Crow and enjoys counting all the money raised after Carnival day - Yes, all 10 hours of it!

Secretary & Internet Co-Ordinator: Nicky Hitchins

Nicky is famously known for taking the minutes (when she can hear them) and DJ'ing to her funky beats at Christmas and Carnival Time.

Procession Co-Ordinator: Chris Laker

Chris is a man of many talents   with his special friend Hampton the Hedgehog, you can always find them both up to some mischief! or ebaying to find the ultimate lights, sounds, music and many props and accesories!

Assistant Procession Co-Ordinator: Chelsea Hunt

Chelsea is our former Carnival Queen, she enjoyed the Carnival   Environment so much that she decided to stay with us! - she is most happy when dancing along to the Hampton song which she choreographed - Chelsea: One day we will all get it right!

Assistant Procession Co-Ordinator & Stylist: Collette Clear

Keeping everyone in check and glamorous -   Collette has been involved with the Carnival for many years and has bundles of   energy! - Often seen dashing around! whoosh!! now you see her, now you dont!

Chief Marshall & Health & Safety Officer: David Rendell

Since joining the Carnival, Dave has become a "new man!" dressing up as Shrek, making Tea and organizing Race Nights. Daves enthusiasm is greatly appreciated ( especially when it comes to making the tea!)

Deputy Health & Safety: Charlie Rochester

Singing, dancing, acting... Its all in a days work for Charlie!   A man of many talents - Charlie   sung live at our last Carnival day and has a fantastic voice!  

Fundraising Co-Ordinator: Lisa Myers

Lisa was last seen dressed up as "Dorothy" a fan of dressing up and joining in with the carnival chaos! Dislikes Disco balls, Especially when they land on her head!

Flower Girl & Special Events Co-Ordinator: Carol Abbiss

Fondly known as "Grandma" to all of the Carnival Family. Since joining the Carnival, Carol has orgainsed a succesfull Ladies Night, dressed up as Cruella Deville (With a wig too!) and is a champion knitter and present wrapper!

Town Centre Co-Ordinator: Kevin Rowley

Kev-   AKA: Elf!   Is known for his quietly confident ways, He enjoyed his last costume as Austin Powers and knew all the dance moves...Groovy Baby! Kev is also one of our bravest members by volunteering to clean out our spider ridden   storage area!

Junior Carnival Queen Co-Ordinator: Maxine Rendell

Since joining the Carnival, Maxine has supported all our events, proving to be a dedicated member of the team - and she looks ace as Fiona - the character from Shrek!

PR Officer: Linzi Stancomb

Linzi has bundles of enthusiasm - she wowed the crowds recently during our ladies night when she modeled a fab outfit courtesy of Dorothy Perkins!

Carnival Queen Co-Ordinator & First Aider: Bobby Hall

Famously known as our "Last Aider" - Bobby has a large supply of Polo mints and spray on plaster for anyone in a spot of bother! Also known for the Highland Fling, eating Haggis and saying "Och I dunnooo"!! 

Assistant Town Centre Co-Ordinator: Liz Houston

Liz was last seen dressed as Snow White - a complete transformation and we nearly didnt recognize her! Always enthusiastic and ready to lend a hand, Liz has also wowed the crowds with modelling at our ladies night!

Assistant Town Centre Co-Ordinator: Janis Myers

Janis- AKA Mum! Janis is happy to help out and shares Kev's bravery award when it comes to dealing with spiders! Dressed up as Princess Leia, Janis managed to organize a collection box and look after our Storm Trooper during the Bonfire Night Celebrations! What a Multi Tasker!
